Looking for testers
I have been making some super cute diapers. I have no babies to test them on. If you like to be a guine pig for me post a comment or e-mail my store info@lovelyecochic.com. I'm looking for boy and girl babies under 30 pounds that would be able to give me detailed feed back on Fleece covers, pocket diapers and AIOs. I'd perfer to keep cost down on mailing so for now U.S.A addresses only. Don't leave your address in the comment. Thanks Mary

Not bad if I don't say so myself
Joey loves and expects me to know everything. If there is one thing I can teach my kids is to try. Joey has pajama day at school tomorrow. He remembered me joking about being the van Trapp family when I made Marysa pillow case dress out of some old curtain panels I had. I was joking how I was going I was going to make clothes for everyone in the family and go on a singing bike ride.
As you probably can guess Joey asked me to make him pajama bottoms out of the same curtains. I have never made pants. Lots of dresses, and blankets but not even one pair of pants. I didn't even have a pattern. At least if I had a pattern then I would probably do OK. My little boy wanted pajama bottoms, he wanted skinny cut and he wanted his Mama to make them out of that curtain.
Soooo I did. I'd have to say they look alright for no pattern or know how. Joey is beaming and understands how he needs to bring extra clothes to school just in case of a split in the duff. All is good in the Land of Super Mom and Boy Wonder.

Marine Parents {The Shop} Shout Out and Giveaway!

Hi! My name is April, and I’m the late night seamstress behind the Marine Parents shop. The shop is an eclectic mix of projects that are constantly spinning about in my mind. Each product is something I would use in my own life, and every fabric is personally drooled over by me, figuratively speaking!! I just can’t help but spend gobs of hours pouring over gorgeous designer fabrics!!
Over the last year or so, the shop has been opened, closed, on vacation several times and has seen a big change in products featured. Up until about six months ago, my husband was the only one in the family who knew how to sew. Now I have completely taken over the shop, given it a major design overhaul and am cranking out as many products as I can every night after our daughter goes to bed. I’m usually up until the very early morning hours sewing and creating, but I wouldn't change a single thing.
Having the shop has been a major blessing -- not only has it allowed me to bring fresh income into our home by doing something I love, but it has also connected me with so many other friendly handcrafters! Many of my new friends are part of this awesome handcrafting community, and they are some of the sweetest and most sincere people I have ever met. I hope that God will continue to bless me and this little piece of creativeness in the world for awhile more -- it’s such a fun and exciting adventure!
So let's have some fun. The giveaway will be open from June 1st -30th, and the prize is my treat. This is just for fun, but please be honest with your entries -- I will be checking!

This is why I've been MIA
Some are up in the store at MarysaJane.com already and some will go up tomorrow. I personally LOVE them. They are a lot of fun to make and to watch how happy the kids are trying them on. I can only imagine how fun it is playing in them since I'm not tiny enough for that anymore!
Oh and I've been scouting items to sell from others, some of whom you may or may not know: Earthy Chrunchy Mama, Marine Parents {the shop}, Lindsey's Family Reviews and Giveaways, Mama Pear Designs will be appearing in the next few weeks/months. I am excited to be selling Bare Foot Books and Tammie Handmade Flower clips. I have my fingers crossed that I'll soon have Happy Heinys, my favorite cloth diapers of all time.

Marysa Jane's First Review is out.

My New Esty Purchase
Recently I fell in love with these very cute Rose Drop head bands. I bought a few for all the girls in my family.
Marysa and Declan agreed to model. April is the store owner. She hand makes everything in her shop. They are quality and fun. I e-mailed her my wish list about a week before I wanted them. I got them with in two days after I made the purchase.It was even fun opening the box with all my headbands wrapped like gifts in tissue paper and tied with string. I would recommend taking a look. You wont be disappointed.
